Watch While You Talk ! If your child intentionally disturbs you, it may be because they feel a lack of physical affection from you. If your child talks back to you, it could be because they observe you doing the same to others and perceive it as normal behaviour. If your child frequently tells lies, it may be because they feel you react too harshly to their inappropriate behaviour. If your child tends to take things that don't belong to them, it could be because you rarely let them make their own choices when buying them things. If your child doesn't feel comfortable confiding in you about their mistakes, it means they have lost trust in your support. If your child tends to be secretive, it may be because they don't trust that you will handle things calmly and proportionately. If your child finds it difficult to stand up for themselves, it might be because they have experienced regular public discipline from an early age. If your child struggles with low self-esteem, it could be because you tend to give them advice rather than providing encouragement. If your child displays cowardly behaviour, it may be because you always rush to their aid too quickly. If your child easily gets angry, it may be because you pay more attention to their misbehaviour and less attention to their good behaviour. If your child lacks respect for other people's feelings, it could be because you often resort to ordering and commanding them instead of engaging in conversation. If your child exhibits excessive jealousy, it might be because you only acknowledge their achievements when they successfully complete something, rather than recognizing their progress and improvement even if they don't fully succeed. If your child openly defies you, it might be because you make threats but fail to follow through with them. If your child doesn't listen to you but listens to others, it might be because you make hasty decisions without considering their perspective.
