Prepare a Lesson As per NEP2020

3 ways to prepare a lesson as per the New Education Policy 2020.

1. #PLAN 2. #PLAN 3. #PLAN :) :) Planning lessons in advance is of utmost importance as it allows teachers to align their lessons with the NEP 2020 goals. Summarizing elements of Lesson Design incorporating elements stated in the New Policy: 1. #PurposefulLearning: Help students to understand the 'WHY' behind their learning journey. 2. Using #InquiryBasedLearning: Let students share their existing knowledge about the topic, come up with wonderings and learn to find answers to their wonderings. We need to help them get a way to present their findings. I suggest using a #structuredinquiry if you are new to this method. 3. #TechnologyIntegration: I suggest using #canva where students can collaborate and use it to design flash cards/videos for presentation. Taking students to the computer lab in your subject class is also helpful. 4 #Essentialskills: Design tasks in #groups that stimulate critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity to develop students' higher-order thinking abilities. 5. #Application: Include opportunities for students to apply the knowledge and concepts they have learned to real-life situations or scenarios. 6. #ResearchWork: Integrate research-based activities to encourage students to explore topics deeply, gather information, and develop their research skills. 7. #TactileMaterials and #handsonlearning: Utilize tactile materials, manipulatives, and hands-on projects to facilitate experiential learning and enhance understanding. 8. #Studentchoice & #Differentiation: Try to incorporate enough opportunities for students to choose tasks, groups, ways of learning, and presentations. 9. #Artintegration: Try to have students draw or represent the concepts pictorially, Have them paint the corridor walls with the concepts. 10. #Multiple ways of #assessment : We can plan for Quizzes on Kahoot and create rubrics for the research projects for evaluation. Providing templates for research work helps in scaffolding and ensures students are on the right track. If you ask me, if all this is easy, The answer is no. It needs the utmost planning, determination, coordination, continuous upskilling, and managing time constraints. But the outcome will be worth celebrating. Stay tuned, as I share students' work after we implement what we planned during vacations.

Thinking about resigning? Wait!

 🤔𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴? 𝗪𝗮𝗶𝘁!🖐️

Feeling the urge to resign and leave a job is not uncommon and can be a sign of dissatisfaction or burnout. However, before making any hasty decisions, it's important to assess the situation and explore ways to improve your experience at work.

Discover how you can transform your current job into a satisfying and rewarding experience with these actionable tips:

Reflect on your reasons:

Take some time to identify the specific aspects of your job that are causing you to feel this way. Is it the workload, lack of growth opportunities, poor work-life balance, difficult colleagues, or something else? Understanding the root causes will help you address them effectively.

Speak with your supervisor:

Schedule a meeting with your immediate supervisor or manager to discuss your concerns. Be open and honest about the challenges you're facing and propose potential solutions.

Seek feedback:

Request feedback from your supervisor, colleagues, or subordinates to gain insight into how you can enhance your performance or contribute more effectively to the team. This can help you identify areas for improvement and demonstrate your willingness to address any shortcomings.

Set clear goals:

Take the initiative to set clear and achievable goals for yourself. Having a sense of purpose and direction in your work can improve motivation and engagement. Discuss your goals with your supervisor to ensure alignment with the overall objectives of the organization.

Develop new skills:

Consider if there are any skills or knowledge gaps that could be hindering your progress or causing dissatisfaction. Seek opportunities for professional development, either through training programs offered by your employer or by pursuing external courses or certifications that align with your career goals.

Build relationships:

Cultivate positive relationships with your colleagues and superiors. Collaborating effectively, seeking support, and creating a supportive work environment can significantly improve your overall job satisfaction.

Take care of yourself:

Prioritize self-care and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Make time for activities outside of work that help you relax and recharge. Engaging in hobbies, exercising, spending time with loved ones

Explore internal opportunities:

If your current role or department is causing significant dissatisfaction, inquire about other opportunities within the organization that might be a better fit for your skills and interests. Internal transfers can offer a fresh start without completely abandoning your current workplace

If you've exhausted all possibilities and genuinely believe that leaving your job is the best course of action for your well-being and professional growth, it may be time to consider other options.

However, it's generally advisable to explore and attempt to address the issues before making such a decision

Three Self-Care practices that can make a Significant difference in our lives

Let's take a moment to talk about an essential aspect of success that often goes overlooked: self-care!

In our fast-paced professional lives, it's easy to become consumed by work demands, deadlines, and never-ending to-do lists.

But remember, investing in our well-being is crucial to maintain balance and achieve long-term success. 🌱

Here are three self-care practices that can make a significant difference in our lives:

1️⃣ Take Time for Reflection: Pause, breathe, and reflect on your achievements, goals, and challenges. Self-awareness helps us identify areas for growth and celebrate our accomplishments. Journaling, meditation, or simply going for a walk in nature can provide the clarity and peace needed for self-reflection.

2️⃣ Set Boundaries: It's essential to establish boundaries to preserve your energy and prevent burnout. Learn to say 'no' when necessary and prioritize activities that nourish your mind, body, and soul. By creating space for yourself, you'll recharge and be better equipped to tackle professional challenges.

3️⃣ Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind and gentle with yourself, especially during challenging times. Celebrate your strengths and embrace your imperfections. Remember, it's okay to make mistakes; they provide opportunities for growth. Cultivating self-compassion fosters resilience and enhances overall well-being.

Let's make self-care a priority, not just an afterthought. By nurturing ourselves, we become more productive, creative, and fulfilled individuals.

Share your favorite self-care practices and experiences in the comments below.

Let's inspire and support each other on this journey towards holistic success. Together, we can thrive both personally and professionally!

4D's of Time Management

 🕐 4D's of Time Management 🕐

Managing your time effectively is crucial for productivity. The 4D framework can help you prioritize and handle tasks efficiently:

1️⃣ DELETE: Eliminate or remove tasks that hold low priority. Assess your to-do list and get rid of anything that doesn't contribute significantly to your goals or responsibilities.

2️⃣ DELEGATE: Assign tasks to others whenever possible. Delegation not only distributes the workload but also allows you to focus on high-priority tasks that require your expertise.

3️⃣ DO: Complete tasks that have high priority. Tackle important tasks promptly, giving them the attention they deserve. Prioritize based on urgency and impact.

4️⃣ DELAY: Postpone tasks that are not immediate priorities. Recognize that some functions can wait without affecting your overall productivity. Focus on the most critical tasks first and address the rest accordingly.

Use the 4D's to prioritize and manage your tasks effectively, making the most of your valuable time.

Fifteen ways to make Social Science Interesting:

*Fifteen ways to make Social Science Interesting:*

1) Tell students to imagine a particular moment in history mentioned in their textbook. This can help them to have a clear idea of the topic.

2) Act out historical events: Skits, talk shows and plays are a great way to engage students and motivate them to find a love for social studies. Bring a historical event to life by having students act out a particular event in history. Have students produce an event and assign each student a specific role to present to the class. After each presentation let students discuss what they learned.

3) Draw students in with technology: Technology has a way to motivate students and keep them engaged. Whether you are teaching a lesson on geography, history or on civics, technology has a way to draw students’ attention.

4) Make use of Internet: Internet provides many websites on educational topics. Many have fun games, multimedia presentations, quizzes, etc. on educational topics. All these really make bookish topics fun for the students and help them to understand and retain topics much better.

5) Try a Controversial Topic: An effective tool for encouraging critical thinking is to try a controversial topic. Provide students with a short background on any topic and let the debate begin. Write or say a statement that relates to the topic at hand and have each side plead their case. There is nothing like a fun debate to get students motivated to learn.

6) You can develop student interest and motivation in social studies by relating relevant content and current events to their daily lives.

7) Be involved, discuss concepts with them and give them examples of social studies from their daily lives that they can relate to, instead of just complaining that social science is boring. Give concepts your own twist.

8) Do practical projects and experiments with them. Doing really helps in understanding a topic instead of reading about it.

9) Get interesting books about different topics for the children. Keep the books accessible so that they can take them out when bored and read them.

10) Take your students to fun and interesting places like planetariums, zoos, wildlife sanctuaries, national parks, museums, botanical gardens, etc. to make the concepts clear.

11) Making useful notes plays a vital role in helping students to learn easily with perfection.

12) Update your students with current events. Students can develop interest and motivation in social studies by relating relevant content and current events to their daily lives.

13) Encourage students to do collage work and take census of any particular area to make the subject interesting.

14) Sometimes it is the everyday places that can be educational and interesting – your garden, the local nursery, the post office, etc. Walk around the neighbourhood and go to the local places of interest.

15) Show them videos and documentaries of the events covered in their syllabus. This will enhance the interest in the chapter or episode in history.

How to believe in yourself some tips

Even if your physical appearance, your unique personality or your social characteristics are not as you want them to be, it does not prevent you from being confident. You are beautiful inside and outside, so you must love yourself unconditionally. Here’s how to believe in yourself. Steps

1. 1

Make a list of special talents you have or things you do that are good. Focus on your characteristics that distract you from those parts of you that you believe imperfect. This does not have to be a specific characteristic or any activity ; it can be an approach or an attitude that you have super well. Are you always calm, cool and collective, even in stressful situations ? Are you really patient with people ? You see always the humorous side in everything ? Are you always there for your friends, for your family ?

Advertising

2. 2

Find your passion. Be it martial arts, cars classic, music, basketball… you are going to feel confident in pursuing that passion that you acknowledge that you love the most. More importantly, you are going to appreciate your progress.

3. 3

Choose a template, no matter if it is someone close to you or someone known worldwide. Think about the qualities that person possesses ; physical, emotional, moral, and/or spiritual. Work to acquire it.

4. 4

Focus on the other. Try not to focus negatively on you or on the way others perceive you. Therefore, focus more on making others happy and this will build your confidence as others will begin to enjoy your company.

5. 5

Accept the compliments graciously. Do not roll your eyes answering Yes, OK , do not deny the compliment. Take it to heart and respond positively. A big thank you with a smile works very well.Know that you have important things to say and do. When you are not sure of something, say so, loudly and clearly, use eye contact with people. Be yourself.

6. 6

Take care of yourself. Make a healthy diet. Do not use abusively your body, do not fill of useless stuff dangerous to health and do not deprive yourself of what it needs. At the same time, don’t worry about obsessively of him. Buy all the creams, shampoos, and conditioners is not going to bring you closer to the person you want to be. They are as wound dressings, and makeup. Confidence comes with how to be, how to act, it comes from within. Take the time to reflect on your life and have some maintain emotional. In the background to actually be confident, you need really to make you claim and understand that your way of being is important.

7. 7

Focus. This is a real quick change. The gym can transform anyone. It helps you to be who you are and to not be scared. It is the real self-confidence. Getting enough exercise can go up madly self-confidence. Not only giving you more energy for the day, but also by being in good physical health, this will make you feel more

worthy if one may say so, to speak to others by being yourself.

8. 8

Get out of yourself. If the world puts you out of you, let them know that their opinions about you are not interesting to anyone close to you. This way might seem hard. But when you are going to express what you think, your confidence will build and you will feel more comfortable with it.

9. 9

Celebrate your individuality. If you know you have something special or different, rejoice in it ; don’t hide ! It is the diversity ! You want to be bigger, smaller, thinner, more intelligent, regardless of what it is. But you need to realize that if you were anyone else, you would not be who you are. «Who am I ?» you may ask, the answer is easy : you are a unique person able to grow and learn.

10. 10

Act. It is amazing how a simple action can be important. And the action that you do not need to be something extravagant or very large. It can be something simple like doing an action that you postpone for too long the next day, write a letter, or repair your furniture in the garage that is no longer functional for months. It can also be something such as join a Yoga class, art, design interior, anything that interests you that you never dared to. Regardless of whether the action is large or small, it brings relief, the enthusiasm and the confidence that other things can be done easily.

11. 11

Arrange your posture. Having a good posture can in fact make you feel more confident. Do not return your shoulders to the inside ; nothing says

I don’t have no confidence , don’t be a person who tries to hide from the world. Be sure that your back is straight, your shoulders are square and your chest is well placed towards the front (be careful not too raise not to seem too confident, do not have the air of someone who is looking for another). Do not look at the ground, look people in the eyes.

12. 12

Make an effort to smile as often as possible. A smile makes you seem warm, honest, friendly, and confident. You can also just relax your muscles facials, and you will seem calm and relaxed. Watch yourself in a mirror to be sure that you do not face tense or nervous, because if you look like that, others will believe that you are sad, angry or uncomfortable.

13. 13

Always have visual contact with others, especially in engaging in a conversation. Focus on the eyes of the other person to seem like someone interested, calm and confident. Avoid the visual contact gives you an air of embarrassed or subject. The best way is to focus on the eyes of the person while you’re talking with her, occasionally change your look or take a look around.

14. 14

Control your gestures of hands. When you gesticulez with your hands, keep your hands away from you and your fingers are open makes you appear open and honest. Do not use your gestures or you’ll look nervous or unstable. Do not move the hands or not to touch your face can make you look nervous, tense or dishonest.

15. 15

Shaking hands can reduce your confidence. If you are a man, have a firm handshake if you take the hand of another man. If you shake hands with a woman, do not tighten it more than it does you shake yours.

16. 16

Put a little bit of yours while walking. Move as if you had a goal and keep your knees relaxed to not to look direct and stiff.

17. 17

Act with confidence, even if you don’t feel you actually. After some time, this will come naturally and you will have the confidence in yourself ! Also, learn how to not worry about what others think. If you let what others say discourage you, you will never be happy. Worry about you only what you experience yourself and do not take what others say as true, they may be jealous of you and they try to pull you down. Don’t let them stop your progress, but get back up by acting calmly.

Nine Skills of Great Consultant

A good consultant can make the difference for your organization. But, what is a good consultant? And, how to find one that is worth the fee? Look for these nine value-added skills.

Being a good consultant isn’t easy. You need to be a jack of all trades to help your client and warrant the often high fees asked. As part of the research done for my book, “Strategy Consulting,” I’ve identified nine skills a good consultant has:

1. Attentive Listener. Be attentive and keep a close eye and ear on what is happening, and on what is being said and not said. Ask many questions and be comfortable with silence.

2. Principal investigator. Guide the gathering of information, judgments and opinions. Identify patterns and generate insights that other people do not see.

3. Discussion Leader. Foster a productive dialogue and make sure that people contribute, listen to each other and generate insights and decisions in a collaborative way.

4. Critical Inspirator. Bring in refreshing opinions and ideas that people within the organization have not thought of. Challenge the ideas and views held by the client.

5. Communication Channel. Use what you pick up and channel it to those who need to hear it. Don’t gossip and always be ethical, keep the organization’s interest in mind.

6. Progress Manager. Monitor and make sure sufficient progress is made and that things proceed according to plan. Guide the organization and adjust when necessary.

7. Stable Anchor. Serve as an emotionally stable “tower of strength” who maintains and creates the necessary calm in the organization while going through change.

8. Moral Guide. Apply high moral standards and influence the client’s ethics. Don’t preach or lecture, but guide the organization toward what is right.

9. Practical Educator. Share knowledge and skills with the client in order to improve their capabilities. Create an environment that stimulates and supports learning by doing.

For all consultants: do you have these nine skills and do you apply them in your work?

For all clients of consultants: does your consultant have these nine skills?

If so, great. If not, you know what to do.
