WHAT IS CONCENTRATION?
The ability to focus one’s mind exclusively on the given subject at any given point of time, to the exclusion of everything else.
With passion, frequency and intensity one can develop the best memory and start scoring the high marks.
▪️Duration of time you spend in learning everyday matters a lot.
▪️40 minutes of duration with a ten-minute break is ideal for long term memory
▪️A ten-minute break is a must for the brain to process what has been learned.
▪️Continuous study without a break is ineffective
▪️Sipping of a little water during study is good for the brain and optimum learning can happen when you do that. Good ventilation is essential.
▪️Arrange your revision into short blocks of time.
▪️Work in regular, shorter blocks of time, rather than one long revision session
▪️Give yourself a reward after each session. This will help you to stay motivated.
▪️Regular revision will help you to remember your material. Remember revising one hour every day is much better than one day every week.
▪️Don’t try to revise too many subjects in the same revision session.
▪️A series of small successes will make you feel more confident.
▪️The best way to ensure that your body’s toxic materials are thrown out of your body is to consume adequate water everyday.
▪️Get a reasonable amount of sleep.
▪️Don’t overload your brain with the last minute revision. You should not however, be learning whole new topics so close to the exam.
▪️During the exam, be calm and listen carefully to the invigilator. Follow any instruction that he/she gives you.
▪️Plan and manage your time well, so that you won’t run out of time. Ensure that you have time to check your answers, and proof read what you have written.
▪️You should always answer all questions, regardless of whether you know the answer or not.
The chances are that you can gain a few marks from an attempted answer a question to which you do not know the answer. At the end of the day one mark could make the difference.
▪️First attend the questions with the most marks.
▪️Do not spend too long on one question
▪️Allow time to double check your answers.
▪️If you encounter a difficult question and you have other questions remaining, leave it, you can always come back to it later.
▪️Subsequent to answering all questions, you should check the details on the front page of your answer booklet to ensure that they are correct.
POPULAR MEMORY TECHNIQUES
▪️Organizing information in an orderly fashion, can significantly improve memory.
▪️Memory can be improved by learning general concepts before moving on to specific details.
▪️When you repeat something out loud you anchor the concept better by using two or more of your senses.
▪️Repetition is the “Mother” of learning. If you use more than one sense you create a “synergistic” effect which is powerful memory technique.
▪️Forming and learning by acronyms will enhance memory
▪️Be in a relaxed mood. Enjoy humor.
▪️Write down the things that you are supposed to remember in a piece of paper.
▪️Read it aloud once or twice and recite it two to three times.
▪️Now go to sleep without worrying or thinking about anything.
▪️Avoid watching TV just before going to sleep. Because, the subconscious mind may start processing only that matter that you have viewed last.
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP.
YOUR ARE SURE TO BECOME Unstoppable FROM ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS.
ATTITUDE + APTITUDE = ALTITUDE = PEAK PERFORMANCE
MEDITATION AND PRANAYAMA WILL IMPROVE YOUR CONCENTRATION AND MEMORY. A SOUND MIND IN A SOUND BODY LEADS TO HAPPINESS.
With Best wishes,
